* Planned work:

The backend storage clusters for the compute volume service (fast and large) will be reconfigured and upgraded.

* Impact:

Increased risk of intermittent blocking of read/write requests on the volume service within the maintenance window period. The i/o blocks could range from seconds up to a minute in duration. Any longer blocks are not expected.

Note: Customers running time and block io sensitive processes with mounted volumes might see more impact, than others. Examples include: k8s etcd service, real time communication systems.
